  1. better

    Chats slow spam down sooner

    • Sending a flood of messages or reactions hits a gentler “slow down” limit sooner, so live chat stays snappy for everyone.
  2. new

    /pet @someone and /afk in chat

    • Type /pet @name to show someone else’s raised Momo (still /pet for your own).
    • /afk [reason] marks you away — when someone @mentions you, momo tells them you’re AFK. /back (or just chatting again) clears it.
  3. new

    Chess and checkers in chat

    • Challenge someone with /chess — full rules (castling, en passant, promotion, checkmate), wood-board card with piece silhouettes.
    • /checkers (or /draughts) for classic jumping — mandatory captures, multi-jumps, and crowned kings.
    • Both pay coins to the winner and count toward Season Pass play/win missions.

  1. fixed

Signup no longer mistakes normal networks for VPNs

    • Some people on mobile data, campus Wi‑Fi or similar were told to turn off a VPN they didn’t have. Signup only blocks real VPNs, proxies and Tor now — not ordinary “hosting” network labels.
  2. fixed

    Status picker works again

    • You can set appear offline, do not disturb, and important only again from the account menu — saving wasn’t sticking after the public status page went live.
  3. better

    More Space crest icons

    • Space crests have a much bigger icon picker (animals, nature, tech, food, and more) and a few new accent colours to match.
  4. better

Stricter signup, same Extra account path

    • New accounts can’t be made through a VPN, proxy or Tor again (Apple’s iCloud Private Relay is still fine), and a busy network can’t flood signups as quickly — an Extra account voucher still lets you make another page.
  5. fixed

    Fireflies cursor preview fixed

    • Turning on fireflies (and similar cursor effects) no longer blacks out or glitches the Customize live preview.
  6. better

Cursor effects try in the live preview

    • Customize no longer shows a separate try-it box under Cursor — pick an effect and move your mouse over the live preview instead.
  7. fixed

    No more ghost message chimes

    • Opening a chat no longer plays the new-message sound for messages that never show up — live arrivals aren’t wiped by a slow reload, and the same message won’t ding twice from push and polling.
  8. fixed

    Chat info shows their badges

    • Open someone’s info in a DM and you’ll see the badges from their page — the same ones they show next to their name, in their order and colors.
  9. new

    A public status page

    • Check yen.bio/status anytime for the website, database, cache, and realtime chat — including when live push is cooling down and chats are on polling.
  10. new

    Remix Listen with momo

    • On Dashboard → Listen, momo’s remix desk can nightcore a song, slow it + reverb, or let you pitch/speed by hand — stuff Spotify won’t do.
    • Turn on “show on my note” while you play and friends see what you’re listening to (and the remix) on your notes strip.
  11. fixed

Unread filter doesn’t trap you on phones

    • After tapping Unread in Messages, you can get back to everything — tap All, tap “show all” next to the new count, or use Show all if the list is empty.
  12. fixed

Cursor effects in Customize stay smooth

    • Turning on a cursor effect and trying it in the live preview no longer freezes the editor — the preview uses a lighter draw path so your pointer keeps up.
  13. better

Chats stay live without the realtime pipe

    • Open chats and your inbox keep picking up new messages on their own — everything is saved in the database first, so a busy live connection can’t leave you stuck refreshing.
  14. new

    A dark chat theme

    • Chats get a new dark theme — soft charcoal with a cream accent, for when blossom or bubblegum feels like too much.
  15. better

    Chat polish on phones

    • Room drag handles in Space settings are easier to grab, empty-chat starters wrap on narrow screens, and the gif tray stays usable in landscape with the keyboard up.
  16. better

    Less chrome in Spaces

    • Spaces no longer show that tall banner strip under the header — description stays in the top bar, and settings / members stay in ⋯ and the i button.
  17. better

Space settings get a hero + room drag

    • Space settings opens with a banner-and-picture hero so you can see the Space at a glance.
    • Owners and admins can drag rooms to reorder them — including general.
  18. new

    Welcome and rules for Spaces

    • Owners and admins can write a short welcome / rules note in Space settings → About — separate from the crest description.
    • It shows under the Space banner and when the chat is empty, so new people know the vibe.
  19. better

Space settings, as a real menu

    • Space settings is a full-width page with sections — Look, Access, About, Rooms, People, More — instead of one long skinny card.
    • On a phone, swipe the section chips; on desktop, pick from the side menu.
  20. new

    Cozier chats

    • Tap the i on a DM for a soft side panel — mute for a bit (momo helps), delete the chat just for you, or block someone from chat and your feed.
    • Send gifs from the emoji tray (powered by Klipy), and open Space settings as their own page instead of a tiny modal.
    • Inbox filters are simpler (all / unread / groups), chats sit flush with the sidebar, and avatar rings shouldn’t get clipped anymore.
  21. fixed

    Avatar rings don’t get clipped

    • Decorations around profile pictures in chats (the neon ring and friends) no longer get a flat cut on the side.
  22. better

    Smoother scrolling and chats

    • Chats, Listen, Discover, and the rest of the dashboard should feel snappier — less stutter when you scroll, type an edit, or keep music playing in the background.
    • Live badges and the feed profile glow are lighter on your device too.
  23. better

    Crests are for Spaces

    • Crests only belong on Spaces now — private group chats no longer get crest settings.
    • If a group chat already had a crest, it’s a Space automatically so nothing you were wearing disappears.
  24. new

    Apply to join Spaces

    • Space owners can set “apply to join” — people request via your invite or vanity link, and you or admins accept them in Space settings.
    • On Spaces Discover, paste a vanity link or invite code in “have a link?” to join (or request) without hunting for the Space.
    • Crest hover cards show the Space banner (or chat wallpaper) behind the picture when one is set.
  25. better

    Crop feed and Space banners

    • When you upload a feed banner or a Space banner, you can drag and zoom to crop it — same idea as profile pictures, saved at 1500 × 500.
  26. new

    Private Spaces and vanity invites

    • Set a Space to private and it stays a Space — rooms, crest, and the Spaces tab keep working (it just leaves Discover).
    • Crest tags show the right label: public space, invite-only, or private space — not “public” on private ones.
    • Owners can set a short vanity invite like yen.bio/space/your-name alongside the random invite link.
  27. fixed

    Solo Spaces and voice notes

    • You can post in a Space even when you’re the only member — no need to add someone first just to say hi.
    • Voice notes recorded as AAC play in the chat bubble instead of opening as a broken .mp4.
