Vibe check: how well do two pages get on?

    • Go to yen.bio/vibe (or vibe check on Explore), put in two names, and get a score: your this-or-that answers side by side, songs, badges in common and how your colours go together.
    • Every vibe check has its own link (yen.bio/vibe/you/them) to share. It works with any two public pages.
  2. new

    Page of the week

    • Explore opens with a page of the week: a page worth a look, picked by the yen.bio team or, when they haven’t picked one, the page more people visited this week than any other (outside the all-time top three, so newer pages get their turn).
  3. new

An AniList card for your page

    • Add AniList under Customize → Extra sections: your page shows what you’re watching right now (covers, episode, a little progress bar), what you’re reading, and your totals.
    • Your AniList profile needs to be public.
  4. new

Rainy Room: the night room as your dashboard

    • A new official theme in Themes: the rainy window from the front page behind a floating glass sidebar, glass panels with a warm edge, lamplight pink, and a few stars. Try it on, or wear it in one tap.
  5. new

Show what you’re playing on your page

    • A new page section, Listening now, shows the song you’re playing in Listen, live, with your DJ booth mix (nightcore, slowed…). Add it under Customize → Extra sections.
    • It shows while Listen’s “show on my note” is on, and says it’s quiet when nothing’s playing.
  6. new

    Say what you’re up to

    • Your status menu has a line of your own now: an emoji and a few words, like “🎧 in the booth till late”.
    • It shows under the name at the top of your DMs for the people you chat with, and on your feed profile. Clear it with the little x.
  7. better

Listen together with your own songs

    • Listening together isn’t just search any more: pick from your songs (everything in your Listen, uploads included), or press “add a file” to put an mp3 from your computer on for everyone.
    • A file you add is saved to your Listen too, so it’s there next time.
  8. better

    A snappier yen.bio

    • The dashboard loads less code on every page when you wear a custom theme.
    • Open chats ask the server for new messages far less often when the live connection is healthy, instead of in bursts while a chat is busy.
    • Pages with an animated tab title or the matrix entrance stop doing work once there’s nothing left to animate, which helps phones and battery.
  9. better

A cuter listen bar you can move and pop out

    • The listen bar got cosier: the cover spins like a little record while it plays, notes drift off it, and momo sits on the corner bopping along (asleep when it’s paused).
    • Drag it anywhere by the little grip on top; it stays where you leave it. Double-click the grip to send it back to the corner.
    • On a computer in Chrome or Edge, the pop-out button moves the player into its own small window that stays on top of your other apps, so you can keep the music in reach with yen.bio in the background. Close that window to bring the bar back.
    • On a phone it sits above the tab bar instead of covering it.
  10. new

Six layouts and a lot more style for dashboard themes

    • Themes have six layouts now: sidebar, a floating sidebar, a slim icon rail, a top bar with a menu per group, a dock, and the desktop. Sidebars and the rail can sit on the right.
    • The dock can hold a folder per group (tap one for its apps) instead of squeezing every tab into a row, sit on the bottom or either side, come in three sizes, and show names.
    • The desktop takes small to large icons in one to three columns, three title bar styles, and a taskbar on the top or bottom.
    • New style choices: glass, outline or paper panels, shadow depth, how app icons are drawn, a colour for each group, and a pattern (dots, grid, stripes, grain, stars) over your wallpaper.
  11. better

Listen together: share the DJ booth

    • Turn a knob in momo’s DJ booth while you’re listening together and everyone hears it: speed, reverb, EQ, filter and echo follow the session, and sped-up or slowed mixes stay in time.
    • Hit a sample pad and the others hear it too.
    • The listen bar is clearer: the song and artist on top, play controls and a proper progress bar with times underneath. Listening together, it says where and with how many people; the DJ’s buttons drive the session and everyone else gets a leave button.
  12. fixed

The chat box stays in the window

    • On a desktop (or dock) theme, chats fit the window now — you don’t have to scroll down past the messages to find the box you type in.
  13. new

    Tuck Listen into the taskbar

    • The listen bar now follows your dashboard theme (its colours, not a fixed charcoal chip).
    • Minimize it with the chevron. On a desktop theme it becomes a little now-playing chip on the taskbar, next to the clock — tap it to bring the bar back, or play and pause from there.
  14. new

Share a DJ booth mix as a link

    • In Listen’s DJ booth, the link button next to a saved mix copies a yen.bio/mix/… link with that mix and the song that’s playing.
    • Whoever opens it sees the mix (nightcore, reverb, bass +4…) and can open it in their own booth with one tap: same song, same sound.
  15. fixed

Slashes in titles look like slashes again

    • Big titles in yen.bio’s round display type drew “/” as a short dash (so yen.bio/you read wrong). It’s a full slash now, in every title and button that uses that type.
  16. better

Skip straight to the page with your keyboard

    • Press Tab when a page opens and “skip to content” appears: it jumps past the menu straight to the page, on the site and in your dashboard.
  17. fixed

The real Verified badge in Explore

    • Verified people in Explore now wear the actual Verified badge next to their name, the same one as on their page and the leaderboard, instead of a plain tick.
  18. better

A random page, from anywhere on yen.bio

    • “A random page” sits in the footer of the landing page, the leaderboard and the rest of the site: tap it to land on someone’s page, a different one each time.

The dashboard feels more like an app

    • Switching tabs answers right away: the tab lights up as you click, and the page you picked shows its own shape (your chats, the feed, the editor) while it loads instead of a generic placeholder.
    • Going back to a tab you just had open is instant.
    • Following someone flips the button straight away instead of saying "saving…".
    • On a phone there’s a tab bar along the bottom (home, feed, chats, alerts and more), with your unread counts on it.
    • In the installed app, pulling down to refresh updates the page in place, so you keep your spot and anything you were typing.
    • Keyboard shortcuts: press G then H, F, M, N, E, I or S to jump to home, the feed, messages, notifications, customize, insights or settings. Press ? to see them all.
    • The theme studio can open a theme file: load a .json someone shared, look it over, then save and wear it.
    • A new loading screen: momo waits at a rainy window while a string of fairy lights comes on, one bulb at a time.
    • Dock and desktop themes draw every tab as a proper app tile, coloured by its group, and tab icons now come from one matching set instead of a mix of emoji and drawings. The Desk theme got a richer night sky.
    • Settings has a new look: tabs for privacy, chats, notifications, account, sign-in, plan and the dashboard, plus a search box that finds any setting.
    • New settings: get messages only from people you follow, turn read receipts off, switch off each kind of notification, show, blur or fold away sensitive posts, and reduce motion across the dashboard.
    • The desktop app (1.0.2) feels like a real app: no title bar (on a Mac the window buttons sit over a see-through sidebar), right-click for copy, paste and spelling fixes, Cmd/Ctrl F to find on a page, and it reopens where you left off. Cmd 1 to 5 switch tabs without reloading.
  2. new

    Make your own dashboard theme

    • Themes is in the sidebar: make a theme for your dashboard with your own colours, a wallpaper, a type face and rounder or sharper corners. The dashboard around you is the preview as you go.
    • Pick a layout: the usual sidebar, a dock of icons along the bottom, or a desktop where every tab is an app on your wallpaper and the one you open is a window, with a taskbar and a clock.
    • Rename tabs and give them emoji icons, add a window title and a caption, and use CSS extras for the details. On a phone it falls back to the usual menu.
    • Try on themes from the gallery, wear one, or list yours with a link or in the gallery, free or for a price. Wearing a theme gives you your own copy, so it keeps working if the author takes it down.
    • How it all works, with a worked example (the official Desk theme): yen.bio/help/dashboard-themes.
  3. fixed

Passkeys and Discord in the computer app

    • On the Mac, Windows and Linux apps, “use a passkey” and “log in with Discord” open in your usual browser (Touch ID and Discord don’t work inside the app window), then drop you back signed in.
  4. fixed

Your song visualizer actually hears the track

    • Uploaded songs on cdn.yen.bio made the spectrum, orb and bars sit still (or the page logged a CORS warning). They move with the music now.
  5. fixed

Mac said the app was damaged. It isn’t.

    • macOS flags the download because Apple hasn’t signed it yet. After you drag yen.bio into Applications, paste xattr -cr /Applications/yen.bio.app in Terminal, then open it. The download page has the same steps.
  6. fixed

The landing room plays straight away

    • The rainy room behind the top of yen.bio sometimes sat still until you scrolled. It starts playing as soon as the page opens now, and picks back up when you come back to the tab.
  7. new

Listen together in your DMs and group chats

    • Tap the headphones at the top of a DM or group chat, pick a song, and everyone who joins hears it with you at the same moment, through their own player.
    • Whoever starts is the DJ: play, pause, skip and end for everyone. Anyone listening can add songs to the queue, and it plays them in order.
    • Keep browsing the site and the music keeps going in step. If the DJ leaves, the booth passes to someone still listening, or they can tap “be the DJ”.
    • Group calls stay in private groups: the phone no longer shows in Spaces.
  8. new

Your closet, and outfit codes to hand a look to a friend

    • Closet is in the sidebar: a dressing room where everything you own from momo’s shop and the pass hangs on rails. Hold a piece up to the mirror to see it on you in a chat, tap to wear it or take it off.
    • Save what you’re wearing (your page’s design plus your name effect, bubbles and nameplate) as one of eight outfits. Each gets a short code like k3fq9-m2xzt. Send it to someone and they paste it into “Wear a code”, or open yen.bio/t/ with the code for a preview first.
    • Wearing a look changes how your page looks, never your name, bio, links, picture or music. Chat pieces go on only if you have them; the rest of yours stays.
    • Change an outfit, then save it over its slot: the code stays the same, so anyone you gave it to gets the new version.
  9. new

Explore: wander through other people’s pages

    • Explore is in the sidebar: real yen.bio pages to open, sorted by updated this week, popular this week, new pages, and friends of friends.
    • Search by name or @handle, and see each page’s colours, cover, bio and song before you open it.
    • Pages that changed in the last seven days wear an “updated this week” tag, so you can see who’s around.
    • Feeling lucky? “A random page” (or yen.bio/random) opens someone’s page at random, like /random on Discord.
    • Only public pages show up, and you can keep yours out with “Show my page in Explore” in Settings, under privacy. Your page stays open to anyone with the link.
  10. fixed

Listen holds together when a song flakes

    • A song that the music service hiccups on is tried again, then at a lower quality, instead of dying with “isn’t streamable right now.”
    • The “listening on Listen” note no longer spams while you twist the DJ knobs — it was hitting a limit and dropping off.
  11. new

Group calls, screen sharing, and yen.bio for your computer

    • yen.bio for Mac, Windows and Linux: your chats, calls and page in their own window, with your unread count on the dock and calls that keep going when you close it. Get it from the download page.
    • Call your group chats: press the phone in a group and everyone gets a ping to join. Up to 8 people, and a join button shows in the chat while a call is on.
    • In a call on a computer, press share screen and pick a window, a tab or your whole screen. They see it in a window above the chat, and can make it full screen.
    • Stop from the call, or from your browser’s own stop sharing bar. Either of you can share.
    • Works when you’re both on the latest yen.bio: if the button isn’t there, the other person just needs to refresh.
  12. better

    momo’s own letters

    • The home page has new lettering: momo’s own typeface, drawn from scratch for yen.bio, with hearts over the i’s and little curled tails.
    • Headlines are made up like momo’s plush: soft stitched felt, each letter set by hand with its own small tilt.
    • Try a frame on from the home page and type your name to see it sewn in the same letters.
