  1. fixed

Chat cards and scheduled posts behave

    • A Spotify song in a chat no longer crashes the chat the moment its card loads, and neither does one of momo’s game cards when the game gets posted again further down.
    • Scheduling a post now lets you pick any time from a minute from now, wherever you are. Before, people in the Americas couldn’t schedule anything for the next few hours.
  2. better

Smoother scrolling and less lag across the site

    • Animations you’ve scrolled past now hold still until you scroll back to them, so long pages like the homepage do far less work and your battery lasts longer.
    • Scrolling the homepage no longer hitches for a moment when you start and stop.
    • Profiles with background parallax or a tilting card follow your mouse more smoothly.
    • Resizing the live preview in the editor is smoother.
  3. fixed

    Crash runs smooth

    • The crash rocket now climbs smoothly instead of stuttering, and the multiplier no longer jumps back and forth while you’re riding. Your cash-out amount ticks up in step with it.
  4. better

The desktop app runs cooler in the background

    • When the yen.bio app isn’t the window you’re using, its looping animations (decorations, badges, glows) pause, so your computer stays cooler and quieter. They pick up right where they were when you click back in.
  5. fixed

Messages stay in their own channel

    • Switching channels in a space could briefly show a message you’d just sent somewhere else, until you reopened the channel. Each channel now only shows its own messages.
  6. better

Neon ring, Fire ring and Floating hearts redrawn

    • Neon ring is now a glowing glass tube in your accent colour with a white-hot core, and it buzzes now and then like a real neon sign.
    • Fire ring has real flames licking around your picture, each flickering at its own pace, with embers drifting off the top.
    • Floating hearts are glossy and come in different sizes. Each one beats as they circle, with tiny sparkles in between.
  7. better

    Halo and Cat ears redrawn

    • The Halo avatar decoration is now a glowing gold ring that sits above your head, with a soft shimmer and a few twinkles.
    • Cat ears are redrawn with shading, pink inner ears and little fur tufts, still in your page’s second colour, and one ear twitches now and then.
  8. better

    A grander Crown decoration

    • The Crown avatar decoration is redrawn: polished gold with pearl tips, a jewelled band of rubies and sapphires, a glint of light that sweeps across it, and a couple of twinkling sparkles.

  1. fixed

    Badge percentages skip banned accounts

    • The "% of pages" under each badge no longer counts banned accounts, the same as the leaderboard.
  2. fixed

    Premium counts fixed

    • The "% of pages" under the Premium badge now counts everyone with Premium, including Premium bought with crypto that is still running.
  3. better

    Snappier typing

    • Letters show up in the message box a frame sooner, most noticeably in the desktop app: animated decorations hold still while you type and pick back up a moment after you stop.
  4. new

    Everyone’s in the Yen Space

    • The official yen.bio Space now lives at yen.bio/space/yen, and every account is a member — new ones join when they sign up.
    • It has its own yen wallpaper, and the site team are its admins.
  5. better

    Snappier voice answers

    • Game night takes your spoken answer the moment it hears a choice, instead of waiting for you to pause first. Numbers wait a split second in case you’re still saying them.
  6. better

Wear a crest from the chat menu

    • In a Space with a crest, the ⋯ menu has “wear the crest” (and “take off the crest”), so you don’t have to dig through Space settings.
    • The staff badge next to names on the feed is gone. Staff who are verified show the normal verified check.
  7. new

Crest styles and eight new crest icons

    • Space owners can pick a style for their crest: classic, solid, outline, glow, holo (a shimmering foil, like a rare card) or 8-bit. Each one shows in your crest’s own tag and colour before you pick it.
    • Eight new crest icons: paw, dice, anchor, pumpkin, bat, butterfly, frog and pizza.
    • The crest colour now works for every crest, including a tag with no icon.
  8. better

    A shinier gem crest

    • The gem icon for group crests is redrawn as a proper cut gem, with a lit side, a shaded side and a glint across the middle, so it looks like a jewel instead of a flat wedge. Crests that already use it update on their own.
  9. fixed

    No more scrollbars on phones

    • Pages, chats and lists on your phone (and in the phone apps) no longer show a desktop-style scrollbar. Just swipe: your phone shows its own thin indicator while you scroll, like any other app.
  10. new

Four new games for game night

    • Emoji guess: name the movie, show or game from a few emojis.
    • Finish the phrase: “better late than…?” Shout the missing word.
    • Riddle me this: what has keys but can’t open locks?
    • Word scramble: unscramble the letters and say the word.
    • The game picker is a tidy grid now, so every game fits on your phone’s screen.
  11. better

Full-screen calls, and a quieter momo

    • Calls can go full screen: tap the arrows in the corner of the call card for a big call screen, and again to shrink it back.
    • momo no longer reads game questions out loud unless you ask it to (tap the speaker in the game). When it does, it uses your phone’s own natural voice instead of a squeaky one.
    • On phones with a dashboard theme on, the yen.bio bar no longer shows at the top of home, and the bar on other screens no longer has a black strip across it.
  12. fixed

Call fixes for the iPhone app

    • Your microphone works again in calls and in game night voice answers on the iPhone app. It used to go silent when the phone’s call screen took over.
    • The phone’s call screen and Recents show the name of the person you’re calling, not a jumble of letters and numbers.
    • If you open yen.bio while someone is already calling you, the call shows who it is and their picture, instead of just “incoming call”.

  1. better

    More room on your phone

    • The yen.bio bar across the top of the dashboard on phones is gone, so chats and pages get the whole screen. The menu and search are under “more” in the bottom tabs.
  2. better

Calls in the iPhone app feel like phone calls

    • yen.bio calls now show up in your iPhone’s call log (Phone → Recents). Tap one to call that person back.
    • Fixed: calls to and from the iPhone app could end the moment they started.
    • Incoming calls ring with the iPhone’s own call screen, even on the lock screen, and the green call pill and lock-screen controls work while you talk.
    • Fixed: in the iPhone app the other side sometimes couldn’t hear you until a game started. Voice answers in game night also work during a call now, instead of saying the mic is blocked.
    • Fixed: voice answers in game night said the mic was blocked in the iPhone app, or that the speech service wasn’t reachable in Brave. They now switch to listening on your device instead.
  3. better

The phone apps look and move like real apps

    • Your phone’s own font, frosted-glass tab and top bars, the screen’s name at the top with a back button, and tabs that switch in place. Tap the tab you’re on to jump back to the top.
    • Pop-ups are sheets that rise from the bottom: drag one down to close it.
    • On iPhone, swipe from the left edge to go back, and your unread count shows on the app icon. On Android, the bars follow Android’s own style.
    • Fixed: signing in with Discord or a passkey in the iPhone app could keep bouncing between the sign-in page and your dashboard.
  4. better

A new app icon: momo, sewn in felt

    • yen.bio has a new app icon: momo as a stitched felt plush in the night room, on your home screen, dock and taskbar. Installed web apps pick it up on their own; the Android, iPhone and desktop apps get it with their next download.
  5. better

A step-by-step guide for the iPhone app

    • The iPhone app is ready to download, with a guide at yen.bio/download/iphone: install it with Sideloadly, AltStore or SideStore, what to tap the first time, how to keep it going every 7 days, and how to stay safe.
  6. new

    yen.bio for Android and iPhone

    • yen.bio is an app on your phone now: get it on the download page. It loads the live site, so it’s always the newest version without updating.
    • Calls and listen-together keep going when you leave the app or turn the screen off. On Android, your notifications have play, pause and skip, or mute and hang up in a call.
    • Feels like a real app: the keyboard sits right under your chat with no extra bar on iPhone, long-press and swipe-to-reply tap back with real haptics, and Android’s back button closes what’s open before leaving.
    • Message and call notifications come through the app, and tapping one opens that chat. Signing in with Discord or a passkey opens a sheet and brings you straight back.
    • On iPhone you install it with AltStore or Sideloadly; the download page walks you through it.
  7. new

yen.bio affiliate spaces, and what the green check means

    • Some spaces now wear a purple hexagon with two linked rings next to their name. It means the space is a yen.bio affiliate: the team knows and vouches for it, but it's run by its own people.
    • Hover or tap the badge to see what it means. The green check is still for spaces the yen.bio team runs itself, so a space has one or the other, never both.
    • You'll see it wherever spaces show up: Discover, invite links and their previews, your chat list, chat headers, space settings and crests on the feed.
    • The green check gets the same card: hover or tap it to see that the space is an official one, run by the yen.bio team.
  8. better

Chat cosmetics play when you hover

    • Nameplates and animated name styles now sit still until you hover over them, or over the chat, message or member row they're in. Pages with lots of them load lighter and scroll smoother.
    • In momo's shop, the closet and the Pass, hover an item to see it move. The big try-on preview always plays.
    • Bubble styles keep moving on the newest few messages in a chat. Older ones hold still until you hover them, so long threads stay smooth.
  9. better

Say your game night answers out loud, and see who's muted in calls

    • In momo's call games (trivia night, quick math and smarter than a 5th grader?), the mic now listens on its own while each question is up. Say your answer out loud and it counts. There's no button to hold.
    • Say the answer, or just its letter ("b"), and you'll see what was heard as you talk. If what you said isn't one of the choices, momo keeps listening.
    • The mic opens once momo has finished reading the question, so it doesn't pick up momo's voice. You can turn voice answers off at any time.
    • Voice answers now work in the desktop app and in Firefox too. They use speech recognition that runs on your own computer, so what you say never leaves it. The first game downloads it once (about 50MB) and shows its progress. You can tap your answers until it's ready.
    • If the mic is blocked or there's no microphone, the game tells you why and you can tap or type your answer instead.
    • The call controls now fit inside the call card, even with screen sharing, games and sounds all showing.
    • You can now see when the other person in a call is muted: there's a mic-off badge on their picture and a note under their name. In group calls, everyone's picture shows it.
    • A minimized call and a minimized music player no longer pile on top of each other. The call sits neatly above the player.
  10. new

Listen: import playlists, keep as many as you like, and a cosier page

    • Paste a public playlist or album link from Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, YouTube or YouTube Music on the Listen page and it comes in as a new playlist of full songs.
    • You can watch it fill in as songs are found, and see a list of any that aren't available yet.
    • Listen now has multiple playlists: make new ones, rename them, delete them, and switch between them from the tabs above your songs.
    • Each playlist holds up to 500 songs (up from 40).
    • The Listen page got cosier and simpler: the player stays on top, and find songs, playlists, favorites and import each have their own tab, so there's one thing to do at a time.
    • The top of the page is now a little room at night: fairy lights, a window with the moon, and a mug and cassette on the shelf, with notes drifting up while a song plays.
    • momo wears headphones at the booth and bobs along to your music, then dozes off when it stops.
    • The playing song gets a dancing equalizer, songs settle in one by one when a playlist opens, the tabs slide, and imports finish with a burst of hearts.
    • Empty playlists and favorites now show you exactly where to start, and a little note pops up whenever a song is added, a playlist is made or one is deleted.
