Settings that conflict
Every combination of settings that cancels out, needs something else, or overrides another setting.
Settings are never lost when they conflict. The one that loses is simply ignored until the conflict goes away. For settings that depend on your layout, see the Compatibility table.
Name and bio
Bio effect other than typewriterAlternate bio lines
The extra lines are never shown.
Fix: Set Bio effect to typewriter.
Name effect other than gradientGradient second color
The second color isn’t used (and the setting is hidden).
Name effect rainbowName color
Rainbow always uses its own colors.
Intensity (Background effect)Name and bio effects
They share one slider: a low background intensity also makes text effects faint.
Fix: Keep Intensity up and make the background effect subtler with a darker Effect color.
Day palette onName color
Name color doesn’t switch for day, so a light name can vanish on light day cards.
Fix: Reset Name color, or pick one that reads on both.
Sound, video and the entry screen
Click-to-enter screen offAutoplay after entry
The song doesn’t start on its own; visitors press play.
Fix: Turn on the click-to-enter screen.
Click-to-enter screen offPlay video sound
The background video plays muted.
Click-to-enter screen offStart video when visitors enter
The video starts straight away.
Click-to-enter screen onCard entrance
The entrance plays when the visitor taps in, not on load. (This is intended.)

Replaced by the Desktop 98 boot screen. Only Hide my picture still applies.
Song linked from another siteVisualizer
May stay flat if that site blocks audio analysis. The song still plays.
Fix: Upload the file to yumu.

The button goes in the bottom right corner.
Fix: Choose a corner position.

There’s no player to draw in. Lyrics and the in-player visualizer are hidden.

Both play at once.
Design
Picking a look (Pick a look)Effects from an earlier look
A look only changes what it includes, so particles or a name effect from a previous look stay.
Fix: Turn them off in Customize → Effects, or reset the design first.
Picking the Panel layoutYour card, icon, badge, picture, width and alignment settings
Overwritten with Panel’s look. Switching away doesn’t restore them.
Surface SolidCard opacity, Glass blur
The card is fully solid and not blurred.
Surface OutlineCard color, Card opacity, Glass blur, Border color
No fill; the outline uses your Text color.
Surface FloatingBorder width
No border is drawn.
Card opacity 0%Shadow, Glass blur
Both are switched off.
Background color or gradientBlur, Brightness, Saturation, Background parallax
They only affect images, GIFs and videos.
Icon style Boxed on Identity or SpotlightIcon link size
Boxed icons follow link Height instead.
Fix: Use Glowing icons, or change Height.
