The editor
The Customize page, its sections, the settings search and the live preview.
Where: Dashboard → Customize
Customize is one page with every setting on it, in sections, with a live preview beside it. Every change shows in the preview instantly, but nothing changes on your real page until you press Publish at the top.
The sections
| Section | What’s in it |
|---|---|
| Pick a look | Nine finished styles, Reset design and a shortcut to Templates. |
| Profile | Assets (upload your picture, background, song and cursor in one place), your name and bio, picture link, avatar decoration, browser tab, alternate bio lines, badges and presentation. |
| Links | Add, edit and import links and cards, and the order and visibility of everything on your page. |
| Extra sections | Optional longer content below your links. |
| Layout | The ten layouts. |
| Colors and fonts | Palette, typography, custom fonts, cards and the day palette. |
| Background | Color, gradient, image, GIF or video, and the overlay and texture on top. |
| Effects | Background effect, text effects, entrance, interaction, cursor and page details. |
| Music | Your song, the player, the visualizer and lyrics. |
| Click-to-enter screen | The optional splash screen and its style. |
| Fine tune | Freeform positioning, spacing, your picture’s shape, link style and custom CSS. |
| Share | Your link and a QR code for it. |
- Jump to a section with the row of names at the top, or from the dashboard search (Ctrl K) and the help center, which link straight to them.
- Search settings at the top hides every card that doesn’t match what you type, so “blur” or “neon” takes you straight to the control.
- Effects, Music, the click-to-enter screen and Fine tune are optional. Everything in them starts switched off or at a sensible default.
- Settings marked ◆ yumu pro need yumu pro.
The preview
- Switch between the phone and desktop preview with the buttons above it. Some settings only show on one of them (for example the cursor effects and page spotlight are desktop only).
- Hide preview gives the settings the whole width; the editor remembers your choice. On a phone, the Preview button at the top opens it full screen.
- The dot by the preview is amber while you have unpublished changes and green when everything is live.
- With Unlock positioning on (Customize → Fine tune), you drag items around inside the preview. Positions are saved separately for the phone and desktop preview. See Freeform positioning.
